On Septembree th’ 19th Telltale Games in cooperation wi’ LucasArts presents “Talk Like a Swashbuckler Tide”, which be celebrated wi’ a free download o’ Tales o’ Monkey Isle, arrr – Episode One.
Shi’er me timbers. Fer all o’ ye who keep a sea dog in yer heart, hade down t’ Telltale Games an’ relive yer forgotten characters.
If ye dasn’t know what th’ hell I be talkin’ about here be a wee cbung hole o’ what ye might get on yer trusty ship if ye be prompt an’ skillful in dodgin’. Let th’ hunt fer a booty begin.
Today I got this urge to play Neverwinter Nights 2. Fantasy role playing game that I never actually played1. So, I visited few local online stores to check if it is available for purchase. It wasn’t. Then I tried few real stores, the kind you have to dress and go out of your house to see what they are selling! Yes, I sacrificed myself so I would be able to play this excellent game. The problem is that NWN2 is quite old and I couldn’t find the DVD package anywhere. Then I tried Steam with no success. Want to know how I tackled the problem, read on!

Blizzard has done it. Starcraft 2 will be split into 3 chapters – games or maybe game packs?!? Blizzard is reporting that their sequel story is so big that they will not have any problems in creating three game chapters1. The first of three single-player chapters is titled Wings of Liberty and focuses mainly on Terran campaingn.

Just a couple of days ago it was announced that 25th anniversary of BattleTech will be accompanied by MechWarrior 4 being available for free download. Apparently this is not the only anniversary being honored by a free game. Bethesda Softworks announced that 15th anniversary of The Elder Scrolls will be accompanied by a free download of The Elder Scrolls II: Daggerfall. The Elder Scrolls I was already available for download for five years since 10th anniversary of the series. Now you can download first and second part in the download section of elderscrolls.com.
So in 5 years we’re getting Elder Scrolls 3? :)
Update: Bethesda site is under stress or throttled right now. Download speed is around 5kB/s. Be patient.
If you have not been living under a rock, than you probably know that Lucas Arts in cooperation with Telltale Games decided to revive and old game character and give it its own gaming mini series. You can check the details in this announcement. Since this gaming format is fairly new, we will continue to watch how it will affect upcoming gaming future.
Further more we have found out that the first chapter of the Tales of Monkey Island, titled Launch of the Screaming Narwhal was released to the public. You can download a PC downloadable demo at:
