Brüno – der Schnüfflermagnet

Zo … Zince Brüno ist ein fabulaisich man he is also … wait for it … *shocking faces* … a gay, somewhat in fashion, wannabe celebrity. He is also Austrian. Austria is a small mountain like European country north of Slovenian mountain ridge. You all know where that is right? If you don’t then Google it. Now!

Anyway Sacha Baron Choen which was accidentally also Borat has transformed into this fashion god called Brüno1. Always looking to be in the center of attention. Until the fashion accident which transforms him into rear entering2 still want to be famous, gay guy. Friends leave him, only his faithful dog Lutz played by Gustaf Hammarsten, escorts him as his ass-istent to the Los Angeles3. And the rollercoaster of gayness begins …

I can’t say that movie is CRAP. Because it is not. I also can’t say that the movie should be XXX rated. Because it is not. In weird way it is FUNNY. If you are open minded than you will laugh your ass off. But the movie struck me as superficial. The problems of the gay movement can be better explained with a well thought drama.

That is why I will rate it 4 out of 10.

I would not recommend it for minors, due to some penile scenes , some violent sex and just plain dumb shooting. Anyway movie is R rated so watch the trailer and decide if it’s for you. If embedding does not work look for it on youtube.

BarCamp Ljubljana 2, post mortem

Friday, May 15th. It was the Bar Camp Ljubljana day. Bar-what? BarCamp. An ad-hoc user generated conference. You know the place and you know the time. The rest is up to visitors. Upon registration you get to make your own name tag, you stick it onto yourself and then you go and find a session slot. At BarCampLjubljana sessions were 20 minute talks with 10 more minutes for Q&A.

Here’s how I got my BarCamp cherry-popped with second BarCamp in Slovenia. Yes, it was a first time for me. *blushes*

For a Red Noses cause

We would like to introduce to you our favorite charity organization. Don’t be alarmed, this post will not ask from you anything in return.

Now you have all been to the doctor. Right? Was it a pleasant visit? Did you have fun? Would you like to do it again? Now if you have children and god forbid that something like that would have to happen to your children, but did you ever have a child in the hospital? Strapped to the bed? Waiting for them to get better? Have his sick eyes looking at you and silently asking you to make the stay in the hospital more fun?

We hope that you answered No to the above questions, but if you didn’t and if you are lucky enough to live in Europe, we can offer you a fun loving, joy inspiring unconventional doctors. Those doctors help sick children with laughter, joy and vitality. Wait, don’t stop reading, this is not a trick.

The organization that we are trying to introduce to you is called Red Noses Clowndoctors International. They have been visiting sick children in the hospitals since 1994. By their statistic in 2008 there were 169 Clowndoctors which fill the day with laughter, joy and vitality to around 5000 patients. Organization operates in Europe with partner organizations in Austria, Germany, Hungary, the Czech Republic, Slovenia and Slovakia.

The whole thing is quite simple, a group of clowns dressed as doctors with funny names are visiting children in hospitals. The idea is simple and as it was already said, it brings those kids, that have to spend their long days in hospitals, a little fun and excitement in their lives. Although not being real doctors Red Noses can relate with Patch Adams and his work in medicine and helping people.
